4. Two rare Songs For Dear Stuti (Tutu) - One removed from Internet and Other was not available for 20+ years
There were times when it was hard to find a song released 40, 50 or 60 plus years ago due to lost/burned/damaged studio tapes or reels. But it is surprising that songs from movies of recent years are not available on internet. These days any recent song is stored at 100s of servers and places. Here are two songs for Elder neice who used to be a big fan of Hritik Roshan when she was very very small. One song was from 2003 movie and it was removed from all streaming sites (you tube/spotify/itunes etc) due to copyright violation and if uploaded illegally, it was muted by the site administrator. Other song was from year 2000 movie. This song was not in the movie, CD, cassette but it was in the record. For around 20 years it was not available on the internet due to copyright issue but now that issue is resolved, it was available everywhere now. Bought these two records for tutu bacuse of these songs and also because she was a huge fan of main actor.
Leaving rented house and packing everything, saamaan sort karne lage hai to kuch cheeze milne lagi hai jo kahi rakhkar bhool gaye the. Jaise ye Koi Mil Gaya ka record. Purchased this record for dear tutu jo ye movie dekh kar hritik roshan ki bohat badi fan ban gayi jab wo bohat choti thi. But i would like you play a certain song from this record for everbody... because there is no legal way to listen to this song now. It is last song on side 2 and is called instrumental theme. Now only this song from.movie is removed / muted or distorted from every legal place like youtube, spotify, itunes etc.
Song was removed from movie because german music legend Kraftwerk system detected that song was copied from their 1977 album Trans Europe Express. It was among top 10 albums of last century that changed the music forever. Kraftwerk's album made electronic music mainstream.music and musician started using keyboard/ synthesisers for drum, piano, guitar etc. Trend is still going on. All their albums sound good because they were also great engineers. This song was removed for copyright violation. It was composed by rajesh roshan who was more famous for copying tunes of Greek musician Vangelis. As soon as vangelis gave a hit, he copied it into a movie. Log kahne lage ki bhai ye vangelis se apna music kyo nahi banwa leta. This song too contains 1 min portion of vancielis.song Conquest of paradise and copied portion of Kraftwerk's song appear after 2 mins. Rajesh roshan faced this because kraftwerk are very stritct. Normally these cases solved inside or outside of court with sharing the profit. Like - you have used our song without permission, give us some percentage earnings. Law says even using a few second part(called sample), one should take permission from owner. There ate several artist who became billionare by using sample from other artists' song. Like band Coldplay used sample from Kraftwerk's song with their permission and after that people started noticing them. Hmv/rpg/saregama who are copyright holders of millions song are now cracking people who are using their song on social media. It is easy with Al which detects similarity and send DMCA notice to owner of account. Their rule says- you can use it but fee for single time use of single song is Rs 7000. For sampling, one has to sign percentage base profit from rayalty.
There is nothing to cheer about these records as they are made from digital sources and not analogue sources, so best they can sound like CD on a decent system. Audiophiles hate to collect these records because of their flat response and lack the dynamics. Further, people who are mastering these records are not so experienced and knowlegeable. Black colour was the standard for records but thay are making all kinds of records- pink, blue, red etc. Just marketing hype. Everything is there but the dynamics, warm and smooth sound - the qualities which made records superior to CD, cassette and streaming sites.
Here is another one bought for tutu dear. Same actor, same music composer and same movie director and again a copyright issue which made a song inaccessible for 20 years. But this time rajesh roshan was winner.
PYAR KI DUNIYA? Mama ye song to film mein tha hi nahi.
Arey tum log der se pahuche hoge, thodi movie nikal gayi hogi, usmein hoga -
Nahi mama humne 2 baar full movie dekhi hai hall.mein aur kai bar TV per, song ny hai film mein, hamare pass cassette hai usmein bhi nahi hai aur iski audio CD mein bhi nahi hai, is se milta julta song hai film mein.
Hae to bhai ye record mein gaana kaha se aa gaya?
Here is another one bought for tutu dear. Same actor, same music composer and same movie director and again a copyright issue which made a song inaccessible for 20 years. But this time rajesh roshan was winner. Original singer was lucky ali who was son of famous comedian mehmood. Either ali made a song for his album and roshan bought it to use same or different version in movie. Or ali made a similai-Isor his private album without permission. Roshan won the case and sony had to remove this very song from ali's album Aks released 20 + years ago. Funny to see 10 songs listed on CD case but there was only nine. Later sony bought rights from hmv/ saregama for all releases in physical formats, so they released this song on record in year 2014. It was still not available legally anywhere at that time.
Later case resolved with share of profits and sony released album with all 10 songs. This record was released in oct 2024.
